Radioactive Water Purification
Radioactive Water Purification
The disposal of radioactive water is on par with
other challenges associated with nuclear energy. The release of hundreds of
thousands of tons of radioactive water from Fukushima and the significant
media attention surrounding this event further emphasize this issue.
Waterbender - Radioactivity Decontamination Technology is capable of completely purifying radioactive water from deuterium, tritium, and other isotopes at a price significantly lower than existing alternatives. Several installations of Waterbender - Radioactivity Decontamination Technology are capable of completely purifying radioactive water with high efficiency and returning it for recycling. Additionally, Waterbender - Radioactivity Decontamination Technology can produce generator water necessary for the operation of nuclear power plants.
As a result of purification, all radioactive isotopes will remain, depending on the technical solution, either in salt obtained by mixing radioactive water with seawater or, if the nuclear power plant is located far from the sea, in a small volume of water (0.1-1% of the total volume of radioactive water).
